This is an idea I've had rumbling around for years. I got it in 2001, around late Sept or early Nov. I know this because I remember standing in a little shop somewhere on Cape Cod looking at a journal with an ornate cat face on the cover. My wife and I were there celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary.

So the idea that hit me was to create some kind of RPG, actually. A game that was almost 100% focused on character creation and development and not so much on task resolution or combat or anything like that. A game about creating an anthropomorphic character with a zillion options available, all comfortably nestled in an easy set of rules. The characters would have dens or houses or other abodes that you also create, spending points or whatever.

So that morphed into a comic idea. The comic was going to be about tribes of cartoony little people that have animal totems. So you'd have a lion tribe, a wolf tribe, a beaver tribe, etc. And they'd have weapons and magic and armor and stuff all informed by this animal spirit. Some of them would be able to transform into the animal of their tribe.

I think that's still a neat idea. Might explore it more later.

Anyway, thought the concept drawing was cool.
