Says you soldier. You're alive and still kicking while serving ain't ya? I was in Iraq for my 22nd birthday, so cheer up. If anything, you should push one of the guys and if they give you lip, say its your birthday. XD

I've spent 5 of the last 6 birthdays in either Iraq or Afghanistan... believe me, I know how 'fortunate' I supposedly am... but there's alot more to life than simply being alive. Not trying to be emo or some shite, but today is no happy day for me.

I signed up when I was 16, went to basic and AIT during summer breaks in high school, and deployed after graduating. Been bouncing out to the big M.E. ever since.
