Gee, who would have thought that a bunch of people would really be just a bunch of people? I mean, how many superheroes can you think of from comics or whatnot where they're just perfect people in every way? Sure they'll have their own personal dramas or have one serious flaw but they are still always much better than normal people. In this story, most of the superheroes are just people who have chosen to use their gifts for the good of others, or money. Money is also good and the Core can pay quite well.

Character Spotlight: Javier Gorshana (AKA Gorsh): Power level Star. Abilities: Time Dilation (up to 1500x) and Increased Longevity (doesn't age). Javier is actually one of the founding members of the Star Core, though he looks to be the youngest. He himself is not all that big, standing only 5'8" and 140 pounds, but being over 130 years old means he has a lot of experience to back up his skills. Gorsh can actually extend his ability to dilate time to other people but it tires him out really quickly. He's found, though, that the best use of his ability is to just use it as effectively superspeed. He doesn't have any extraordinary strength, durability or the ability to fly. In fact, since most speedsters can use momentum to carry them upwards and he can't, he actually is worse than them in that regard. But what would feel like a normal punch to him, would be compressed a thousandfold to anything he hit, allowing him to actually harm much tougher opponents.

As strange as it may be to some, the thing Javier enjoys the most when not helping out the Star Core are actually things that are very slow to do. He has some farmland that he manages himself as well as produces some fine aged liquors that usually sell for quite a bit. But when you are constantly expected to be fast in every regard, sometimes the thing one wants the most is just an opportunity to take things nice and slow. Thus even though he has every right to claim the role, Javier is not the leader of the Star Corps and prefers to stay out of the limelight as much as possible. Let others have the glory, he'll just enjoy the Brandy
