I should protest that the most I've never really trained any of these types in my old games save for evolution purposes, though I did make a Flareon a regular in my Leaf Green game. No, if this was going to be me-accurate it should be (excluding starters -- I'm traditionally a Fire Starter*): Lapras, Raichu and Sandslash...and to throw in late-game creatures, a Noctowl, Granbull, Xatu, Pelipper, Flygon, Breloom and Exploud, among others. Style, I think, was me trying and failing at the manga artstyle.
*Diamond is seriously tempting me to go the ways of the Water penguin...

I don't _prefer_ the R/B/Y creatures, I just have favorites from that era, as this pic was done before the sequels existed.
None of the generations are my prefered generation because I will just focus on the critters I actually like rather than bother whether they're Kanto, Johto, Hoenn or Sinnoh.

Rashkae was a pendant I had way back in '92, a lil' old tin gryphon with a prismatic orb between its legs. I loved it so much I wore it around almost all the time and dubbed it my lucky charm. This is a very crude squiggly version of it.
Couple years back I ended up losing her (yes her) in a terrible roller coaster accident at Sea World (read: decided to forgo not putting it away before getting on) and had not seen it since. True, by that time it was getting a bit green and I WA looking into getting another one, but I haven't seen any other gryphon pendants at all since, which saddens and annoys me. Yeah, could look into it online, but I dunno, I've yet to see one that 'clicks' with me.
