Something a bit more self-indulgent, this is Dusty currently cosplaying the civilian outfit of Kamen Rider Slash from KR Saber, who is my all time favorite character in tokusatsu!

Which seems a little random at first as, for those unfamiliar with the show, he’s basically side character #4 whose main narrative purpose is to explain all the exposition and other made up jargon, kind of like Kryten or Alpha-5 or Brains from Thunderbirds.

Here’s the thing, He’s also this quiet, reserved character who most of the time doesn’t even look people in the eye when talking to them, but then you see how passionate he is about swordsmithing and how energetic he gets during battles. But the best thing about this is that all the other characters don’t think any less of him and they still accept him the way he is unequivocally, whereas in most other media these character traits would be seen as a flaw that needs fixing or is used as the source of ridicule (“cough” the big bang theory “cough”)

I really see a lot of myself in Daishinji as this shy, awkward autistic guy who spends too much of his free time watching japanese children’s shows, so to see him be as accepted and respected as he is by his peers despite his quirks means so much to me.

tl;dr- Daishinji is my favorite character because I relate to him a lot
