Circa 199?-20??. "Siberian Husky."
Yes, really. I don't think the Smile Dog creepypasta holds up markedly well, but I do think it's one of very few classic spooky spaghettis that's of decent quality. It was one of the first internet ghost stories I ever encountered, though somehow not the first one to genuinely scare me (that honor goes to Anansi's Goatman Story). In retrospect, it's just another "SEND THIS TO 20 PEOPLE YOU KNOW OR DIE IN A RIVER" spam message, but with good prose and a neat picture attached. I love seeing recreations of the alleged original haunted photo, so here's me throwing my hat into that ring. Good for blowing off steam, bad for getting me hired by Christian companies lol. I think my interpretation is too edgy and not uncanny enough, though; look up Cinemamind and Trevor Henderson's versions if you're looking for some real scares.
