 elecrockin came to me saying that  lapinbeau couldn't do his character, Rockin, in the old two tone style and so he asked me to do it for him instead. Sharing a coke like pals.

Anime is very close to the two toned style already. Even though they have morphed into more realistic drawings, the basic big eyes and large hair is still essential two toned character style. But if you still think there is a problem with trying to convert them, just look at Osamu Tezuka's style. He oozes old school quality animation.
