Haha, maybe after longterm exposure to the sun, their fur color gets sunbleached. Pasty white is the new tan!

Srry, I wouldn't know much about tanning. I occasionally sun myself on a nice large boulder, but the scales kinda pose the same problem as fur.

Actually, being more exposed to the sun brings more color to the fur.

Very nice!

I think a lot of animals just enjoy basking in the sun, tan or no tan. I think of how my folks' dog, and how our kitties just like to bask in a sunny patch on the floor.

Sometimes, the warmth just feels very nice. =)
