A double knockout results from the battle between Lucario and Blaziken!
In the wonderful world of Pokémon, there are numerous activities and mysteries to be uncovered. These can come in various shapes and forms based on different types of interests, ranging from Pokémon battles and research to Pokéathlons and contests. These events have a common goal: to strengthen the bond between trainer and Pokémon, providing a beautiful harmony where Pokémon and humans treat each other as friends and family. However, there are instances in which the independent actions of Pokémon baffle the research of biologists and professors. One such instance involves a recent phenomenon that has affected both wild and trained Pokémon in which they meet up in a location to fight a seemingly random opponent. The location of these random duels are often devoid of trainers, making it difficult for anyone to spectate. Thanks to hidden cameras, there have been multiple recordings of this worldwide phenomenon, some even involving “special” variants of mythical Pokémon. The most recent footage recorded of the phenomenon revealed a new and interesting factor to the case…and it involved two Pokémon who faced each other as adversaries.
The recorded video footage took place in the city of a faraway region. Multiple cameras had already been planted everywhere, hidden within the metropolis and waiting for any activity that matches the details of the phenomenon. After some time, the cameras picked up and tracked the coordinates of two Pokémon until they eventually showed themselves in an alley. On the left, there was a Lucario who calmly walked in. On the right, there was a Blaziken who eagerly ran in before stopping itself. As they met, they stared at each other with determined looks, clearly preparing themselves for a one-on-one battle. The cameras kept track of their health for the upcoming fight. Once they got into their respective fighting stances, the Pokémon quickly sprang into action! The Blaziken attacked first and charged in with a Blaze Kick, aiming for the chest. Despite their opponent putting up a guard, the Blaze Kick to burned right through due to the type advantage, making the Lucario growl and stagger back. The Lucario was quick to retaliate with a Bone Rush laced with aura, hitting their opponent multiple times with the summoned polearm. The unique power of their aura made every hit more damaging than the last, making Blaziken shout in pain before escaping the combo. The two Pokémon were evenly matched…but every battle must come to an end.
As the battle went on, the two combatants grew weak and exhausted from the fight. They were at their limit and could barely stand upright. The hidden cameras detected low health values for both Pokémon. The Blaziken and Lucario looked at each other and knew that the battle was coming to an end. However, neither of them intended to lose as they rushed at each other! The Blaziken charged in with a Flare Blitz while the Lucario went for a Force Palm. Their final attacks eventually met…and passed by as they both hit their mark! Blaziken squawked as the Force Palm invaded into his core, knocked down with its talon unconsciously holding its stomach in pain. Lucario howled as the Flare Blitz burned and crashed into it, falling backwards before lying knocked out on the ground. The battle had ended with the Blaziken and Lucario on the concrete, unconscious and panting together. Both Pokémon had fainted, and the cameras displayed a double knockout!
Along with footage of the finished battle, the cameras also recorded the downed fighters being asleep for hours before regaining consciousness. As both Blaziken and Lucario stood up to face each other again…they respectfully bowed and shook hands. They actually seemed happy to earn each other’s respect, hinting at a friendly rivalry between the two. As soon as they went their separate ways, the recorded video footage ended. Many Pokémon professors were somewhat confused about what they witnessed, but thanks to the footage of Blaziken and Lucario, this phenomenon can be confirmed as safe for Pokémon.

(at the beginning of the fight, Lucario spots Blaziken as they close in on each other...)
Lucario: Looks like you're my next opponent.
Blaziken: Exactly what I was going to say!
Lucario: Only one of us will leave this alley standing up when this battle's over. (gets into his fighting stance)
Blaziken: OK then! Let's rumble! (also gets into his own stance)
