Wow, that is an awesome looking Cavalry sword. Honestly its impressive that the Japanese rarely implemented this Sword and Handle with the European guard.

I guess it just didn't fit their style overall. The Japanese fighting style was so much more different than the European, that it didn't make much sense to add stuff like this. Fighting with a katana was never about sword clashing either
