PAGE 183 IS UP ON WCN & DD
Scorpio rushes in to make the save and we learn a bit about what kind of person she is. However, more self-discovery will have to wait as Basilisk is back.
Some readers thought that Scorpio might have killed Basilisk but that's not the case. Scorpio teleports by stepping through a shadowy, cold dimension where the rules of distance are different and then she steps back out into the normal world. The energies of this dimension are harmful to living things (Scorpio is immune as are passengers she takes with her).
She can channel some of that realm's energy through her hands which displaces them partly in our world and partly in the shadow-world which allows her to stick her hands through things like people and safes. It is harmful but rarely fatal.
She has used this power in this way on Aries and on some dinos in the Quetzalcoatlus comic. Basilisk, like Aries, is quite tough and can shrug off the affects after given some time to recover. She is not strong like him but her constitution is impressive. Her bio page says so.

Also, since the idea just struck me and it might be fun in my off time, I might try translating Zodiac and the villains into Mutants & Masterminds characters. Might be an interesting experiment for me to see if I can do them justice. Of course, I wouldn't use them as my own characters, but still, I'm a number cruncher and the math is already starting to formulate in the back of my head.
One thing I've NEVER understood about group fights in comic-books. TIME for meaningful conversations. Chris Claremont was repeatedly guilty of that. How many X-Men were actually soul searching during life or death combat against an army of Sentinels. I'll show 'em how it's done in CARC & 'SLIDE when the heroes take on the Opposition.
In most cases it's a literary tool.
A heavily combat-oriented series doesn't leave a lot of room for character development, so some of it has to be squeezed in between punches.
It can also be used to demonstrate just how badass someone is; if they can hold a completely unrelated conversation with someone while kicking your ass, it shows they're a force to be reckoned with.
