Dr. Swan runs sort of zoo… you know, kind of. She’s always “hiring”— in other words, looking for new people to fill the “animal” position with the serums that she’s invented. It’s temporary, but still. She takes a perverted joy in all this.
Stan is her only actual worker that knows about all this. He feels bad about it all, and tries to help the people turned animals as much he can, in small ways.
Dr. Swan keeps everyone (including Stan) quiet by threatening yo make the whole animal situation permanent after reverting them if word gets out.
