While scribbling on paper I hit on ... something ... where suddenly I was drawing coati heads that I was much more satisfied with. It's about how the curve that defines the back of the head lines up with the lower chin, and all that. So I tried to draw the same way, using the same strokes, on my iPad, using the digital pencil and I ... didn't get something that feels as right as the physical-media sketch did.

Still, there's times I sketch on paper and feel so much better than I do when I sketch digitally and there's not much good reason for those to be so very different, so I'll likely give a few more tries at pencil sketches in the near future.
