It's the same with oxygen and c02. More oxygenated air for you is can be good, but up to a point. Pure oxygen can be toxic to you after a while(along with how flammable it is. both are reasons it was dropped in the space program.
Same with c02, plants need c02, a minor increase in c02 can help plants grow more. But they too can suffocate in high c02 environments. Especially modern plants which evolved to deal with low c02 in mind with how they grab it out of the air since they have no active respiratory system.
