Thanks man! That's how I approach him as a character - he should be me in as many ways as possible, right on down to his manner and how he carries himself. I suppose I could've made him more brightly colored, but earth-tones and washed-out black/grays seem more "me".

Holy shit not yet, but I really really want to. I know I've heard samples of some of the tracks. OPN is so, so, so huge. I haven't loved an artist as much as OPN since I first discovered BoC.

PS: I have listened to that record about 800 billion times since I posted my reply and I totally love it, especially Strawberry Skies. Lopatin is an amazing talent, i'm just blown away by all his stuff.

I'm especially addicted to Shadows in Bloom. Such feeling! Listening to it at full blast on a highway at night is an experience.

No, I've barely scratched the surface. I heard 'Amo Bishop Roden' on KEXP's morning show, and went right to iTunes and bought the 'A Beautiful Place Out in the Country' EP. I want more but I can't afford to just buy everything at once right now! What should I get next?

As a next step, I would certainly recommend either Music Has The Right To Children or Geogaddi. These two are probably their biggest and bestest masterworks. If you like the childhood nostalgia, wishy-washy National Geographic 70's nature film sound, I recommend going with MHTRTC. If you want something darker and more occultish and riddled with hidden samples and mind-bending sound tricks, go with Geogaddi.

I myself always preferred Music Has The Right to Children, but Geogaddi is a masterpiece of a totally different sort. It's like if someone found a way to feed a tape recorder LSD and then let it record the sounds of a cult seance.

As a person whose collection contains both Enya and Cabaret Voltaire, I'd say both of them sound right up my alley. Thanks! =)
