Is it still called shoegaze if you don't wear shoes?
This picture is supposed to represent my musical inspiration. I see a lot of furry art that's born out of inspiration from musical styles like trance and metal and whatnot, but if you were to find the soundtrack to the un-produced cartoon of my dreams, it would feature Neutral Milk Hotel, Low, Sun Kil Moon, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, M83, American Football, Brian Eno, and of course, Boards of Canada.

To me, "Loveless", which I bought back in '91-2, is still da shit.
I used to keep listening to the first 10 seconds of "Only Shallow" just bc it made my ears go "Wuh-WHA?" :P
Also: will we be seeing more of Flynn? I find him so frckn adorable. o3o
Even more so in color! n3n

abso-lutely! have you checked out any of their unreleased stuff, like BOC Maxima? i love that one for gems like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p4HmyVr2Bo
No, I've barely scratched the surface. I heard 'Amo Bishop Roden' on KEXP's morning show, and went right to iTunes and bought the 'A Beautiful Place Out in the Country' EP. I want more but I can't afford to just buy everything at once right now! What should I get next?
As a next step, I would certainly recommend either Music Has The Right To Children or Geogaddi. These two are probably their biggest and bestest masterworks. If you like the childhood nostalgia, wishy-washy National Geographic 70's nature film sound, I recommend going with MHTRTC. If you want something darker and more occultish and riddled with hidden samples and mind-bending sound tricks, go with Geogaddi.
I myself always preferred Music Has The Right to Children, but Geogaddi is a masterpiece of a totally different sort. It's like if someone found a way to feed a tape recorder LSD and then let it record the sounds of a cult seance.

I must refer you to this for my position on the issue X) http://www.furaffinity.net/full/3292012/
Oh man. I only just saw this now (<3 the way you do anatomy so trawling your images) and read your description here.
I fucking love Tony Gonzalez of M83. I saw him LIVE the year before last, and am going to see him on October 31st here.
Have been listening to
aixarata's album just now.
Have you heard Phantogram? All good stuff. Cheers!
