Caprigryphs are much like hippogryphs except in that their bodies more closely resemble those of antilopinae. This particular species of Caprigryph is known as the brightwing. Like most gryphon species, brightwings are intelligent, gregarious, industrious, and capable of holding their weight aloft in the ley. They may live in the wilds or in towns, villages, and cities where they are allowed. When put to work, they are typically most happy building, arranging, sorting, or carrying out delivery services. Brightwings can speak and are known for their animated communicative gestures. They are not picky eaters either in the wilds or in civilization, though, civilized brightwings almost unilaterally consider sushi to be a prized delicacy. Brightwings will nearly always rather avoid any form of conflict but when pressed, they will peck, stomp, kick, and gore.

Well, I found a derpy squid, derpy lobster, derpy crab, another derpy squid, a derpy flamingo fetus, a derpy Liberace Duck, a derpy Stitch (derpy Lilo was nowhere in sight), a derpy nude bust of a purple woman with a blue head, and a derpy Admiral Akbar, but I could not find a derpy frog.
Beautiful artwork, no matter how many derpy characters you hide in it!

Plain and fancy insanity here. I dunno what's better, the drop-dead-gorgeous art or the text description. I suppose the final answer is yes. If I created fantasy creatures like this, I'd have to mess with peoples' minds, like giving the phantasy beests one weird attribute, such as feet like divers' swim fins or a face that looked like a gas mask.
