There won't be a new comic page today, but please accept this random Tristan picture in exchange :)
I just wanted to draw him, and no one stopped me :3 Originally, I wanted him to sit on a tree branch, but this version seemed a lot more fun :) As you can see, he'll be able to grab with his feet and even with his tail. From all of the Tree of Life characters, I think he's the most "animal like", mainly because of his feet and posture, but I never wanted to overdo it, and I can't wait to show this in the final comic :)

I LOVE Tristan. Probably my favorite of the bunch tbh. Haha yeah my character is a monkey who uses his paws to grab stuff too so maybe that's why. I also always been interested in pushing that animal like appearance, gait and personality as far as i could, while still keeping them anthro. So yeah, Tristan hits close to home in many ways. Not to mention I love his story and am really looking forward to his character arc!
That's right, I don't want to make him too animal like, because then he won't fit with the other characters, and he's not just a funny animal mascot who does silly monkey things. :D
I see your gallery is almost exclusively monkey characters, so I can see your love and interest in them. I hope I will have time to draw more monkeys. :P

Haha, guilty as charged! Mook is very near and dear to me and he's been through so many iterations haha. I'm always in search of a cool way to show off his "animalistic" side, behavior, demeanor, pose etc, while still keeping him anthro. Ya know? Lot of fun throughout the process hehe.

Looks like he'd be one heck of a climber - been watching some lizards climbing the brick walls of a building I work at. Dang fast going up and down and running sideways on the exterior walls. Mix that with Monkey and dang... Adorable and yet a bit scary - claws and teeth with wiry strength - not someone to push into a corner.
