Late morning is, in Elissa's mind, the perfect time to visit any great Fungal City's market. The desert heat has already driven most shoppers indoors or back to their caravans to rest in the cool shade, but the vendors hold out for those few last minute purchases from the shade of their stalls. Elissa gestures down the road to a pair of shops, one selling chitin-bound journals and pens whittled from the antennae of large insects, and it's neighbor hawking dried cactus fruits and beetle jerkies. The fungus sprouting from her shoulder stretches it's sensory nodes in the direction of her gesture and hums it's approval in her mind.

This piece was primarily to play with construction/goods for a personal world-building project. The primary resource for food stuffs and crafting materials comes from drought tolerant plants and large insects that perform a role similar to cattle (producing chitin rather than leather.) Buildings in this city are mostly long dead, dried and hollowed giant mushroom fruits, however I'm not happy with the shape I used here. The barrel shape is a bit boring, though it works well for the actual barrels in the market. I am, however, happy with the tools I put together as well as the chitin decorated store-fronts.
