Fate is a strange thing indeed. It is spoken of as an unstoppable force in our lives, impossible to change, so why bother trying? I think some Pokémon just wish to absolve themselves of responsibility. I know the consequences of trying to change someone else's fate all too well, but to say that one has zero influence over their own destiny - and thus does nothing to aim for the best outcome, or avoid the worst case scenario - is missing the bigger picture entirely, and it is folly. Of course, you can't change fate. It is fate after all, and eventually you are going to have to submit yourself to it...
...But which one?
Ah yes, that is the question that the believers seem to overlook. Nobody said you only had one end before you, and the truth is that fate is quite malleable. Yet the cruel irony is that even for those who know this, the destinies they are actively trying to forge will always be hidden from them, and that includes myself. My greatest gift was being able to peer into the endless possibilities to see where those roads led, not just for myself, but for everyone. Such an ability would undoubtedly shatter a lesser mind, but the most difficult part of being an oracle was not what I could see, it was what I could not share in many cases. When others look to you to change their fate on their behalf, then they have already given up on trying to shape it themselves. And when you give up on choosing your own fate, it will make that choice for you; not I nor anybody else. If you are accepting my words of wisdom, then heed this above all else: Never try to change someone else's fate for them. It seldom goes well.
Even one such as I who was able to observe my own outcomes, couldn't live out my perfect destiny, though I did eliminate many bad paths and found a rather good ending, all things considered... Fate is a strange thing indeed.
