This is the funky axe baby thing from that game. (Zombies) I loved this game growing up. Difficult as hell, but I finally DID manage to beat it with a friend of mine. Takes forever. Totally worth it. Nostalgia overload.
Just a fun, basic sprite. Colors matched real nicely.
245 beads, with a few extra for reinforcement.

That's very kind of you to ask! Have you ever played any of the games in Capcom's Gargoyle's Quest/Demon's Crest series? It was a neat spin-off of Ghouls N' Ghosts in which you played as the gargoyle Firebrand. There was a Gargoyle's Quest game for the 8-bit NES and 'Demon's Crest' for the SNES. They were both platformers and a lot of fun. Overlooked gems, in my humble opinion.

Earthbound could also work really well I think, that game had a lot of memorable and strange enemies and sprites. Dungeon Man comes to mind. http://earthbound.wikia.com/wiki/Brick_Road

Well see, by "before my time," I mean that I didn't really start doing any real gaming until fairly recently. Didn't have any video or computer games until I was about 11, and until I moved in with Mamoru and got the PS3 and the 360, all I had were about five or so games each for SNES, N64, Gamecube, GBA, DS, and PC.
