The idea of two beings in a state of deep, true, devoted, blissful, romantic love has always sounded appealing to me. To portray such a scene is the ultimate test for any writer and the ultimate goal for a writer who believes in the power and beauty of true love. However, there is a paradox when it comes to this. Such a love between a man and a woman should be kept private and in between the two of them, nobody has the writer to peer in on them in such a moment, even if they are fictional people. However, if we are dealing with non-human animals, then it becomes easier to portray such love in a way that is different enough from us and yet sweet and meaningful enough for us to understand. Make of all that what you will as you read this story.

Lucario and Braixen Are SO In Love

Lucario was unleashing punches on his favorite boulder. It's something he'd been doing for quite some time to build up endurance and strengthen his paws and punch attacks in general. He then swung his feet at the boulder, kicking it several times, a newer part of his routine meant to power up his kicks.

Eventually, he began to wind down in his kicks and punches, and his stomach began to growl. Deciding that he'd exercised enough for today, Lucario turn to head towards one the nearby berry trees in the forest.

Lucario weaved in and out of the trees as he made his way toward the berry tree. As he approached, he could sense another Pokemon up ahead. Having no fear of anyone else in the forest, Lucario went on around one last tree to see who it was.

Lucario's eyes went wide and he froze in his tracks when he saw her.

There, in the clearing near the berry tree, was a female Braixen. She was twirling around on one leg, her flaming branch in her left paw as she twirled that around as well. Her big bushy tail waggled around with her body as she moved as if she was weightless. Her eyes were clear and bright as she smiled innocently and happily, completely caught up in her own dancing.

Lucario was utterly transfixed by Braixen's elegant movements, his eyes glued to the way she moved and periodically switched legs. Twirl twice left, step to the left, twirl twice right, step to the right. The twirling of her branch only enhanced her rhythm of grace even more.

Lucario's admiration was then interrupted by loud growling. He snapped back reality and immediately sensed the presence of three highly territorial Mightyena right behind him. Lucario swiftly turned around and let out a growl that put theirs to shame.

Braixen abruptly stopped dancing when she heard the growl, and she turned and saw Lucario facing the three Mightyena. Her eyes widened when one of them leapt at Lucario, only to be smacked down by his Power-up Punch. She gasped as she watched Lucario effortlessly dodge the Mightyenas Bites and then land a Blaze Kick in one of their faces. Braixen was then impressed by the way Lucario backflipped out of the way of a Quick Attack, then sprang up off of his paws to come back down with another Blaze Kick.

The lead Mightyena snarled and barked loudly, and the other two lunged forward and used Bite on each of his arms. Much to Braixen's amazement, Lucario was unfazed by this attack and looked more determined than ever. Then, he raised both his arms, and both Mightyena clinging to them, clear over his head and knocked his attacker's heads together, hard. Then he flung the two dazed Pokemon away from him, over the lead Mightyena's head. Then, in one swift fluid motion, he brought his paws together, formed and Aura Sphere, and sent it right at his last opponent.

The Mightyena was blasted away after his allies, and Lucario could sense and hear the three of them running far away, and fast.

Lucario nodded, satisfied with his performance, only for his breath to catch in his throat when he sensed Braixen still behind him. He slowly turned around, taking small steps with his feet to look at her.

Braixen had a look of amazement on her face as she stated at Lucario. However, when she noticed that Lucario had a similar look on his face, she immediately smiled and giggled cutely. Then she turned around and put her right paw on her hip. She stuck her branch back into her tail and took a few steps away from Lucario, her black furred hips swaying as she walked.

Braixen suddenly stopped and turned her head to glance behind her. She smiled slyly when she caught Lucario quickly lifting his head up to look her in the face.

Lucario felt embarrassed over being caught looking, even if Braixen clearly wanted him to. Deciding he had to respond, or perhaps retaliate, Lucario put on a stoic expression and raised both his arms. Then he flexed hard, his biceps bulging as if he had used Bulk Up, which he clearly did not as he had never learned the move.

Braixen gasped at the display and quickly covered her gaping mouth with a dainty white paw.

Lucario's stoic look fell away and revealed a cocky smile complete with a raised brow.

Braixen smiled back and turned to face him directly. She smoothed out her skirt shaped fur and clasped her paws sweetly in front of her.

Still smiimg cockilly, Lucario put his left arm down and held out his flexing right arm toward her. He then motioned with his left paw, encouraging Braixen to take a closer look.

Braixen appeared pleased by this and daintily stepped closer to her. Lucario's eye quickly glanced downward to look at her comparatively tiny black foot paws, taking them in during that split second as his ears picked up the subtle "pat, pat, pat" of those paws hitting the forest floor.

Braixen soon was closer to him, and she placed her soft white paws on Lucario's flexed arm. She started on the upper arm and then slowly moved to his elbow, smiling at how smooth Lucario's fur was. Then, Braixen moved on to his bulging biceps. Braixen "oohed" and "ahhed" in admiration as she squeezed the muscle, clearly impressed.

Lucario was grinning wider than ever as Braixen rubbed his arm. Suddenly, his attention was stolen away by something else. Braixen's tail was wagging.

Braixen looked up from the muscle she was admiring and saw that Lucario's eyes were moving back and forth. She turned her head to follow his gaze and finally noticed her wagging tail. With another cute giggle, Braixen let go of Lucario's arm and turned to the side, presenting her tail to him.

Surprised by this, yet made eager by the soft, fluffy, voluminous tail; Lucario slowly reached out with his right arm and looked to Braixen again for further permission. Braixen smiled and nodded, and Lucario proceeded to stick his right paw into the yellow fur.

Lucario sighed in contentment as he wiggled his digits within the tail. The fur was luxuriously soft, and soothingly warm. He then took a step forward so he could use his left paw ro gently brush the outside of Braixen's tail, taking care to stay away from her previous branch. All in all, the feeling of the tail was extremely comforting.

In the middle of this bliss, Lucario suddenly felt something land on the top of his right foot. He looked down and saw, much to his surprise, that Braixen had gently placed her own left foot paw on top of his right foot paw.

Lucario's heart leapt, and he pulled his paws out and away from Braixen's tail in shock. Blushing hotly, Lucario looked at Braixen, and the fox just laughed giddily before giving him a wide grin of her own. She flexed her toes, gently drumming them on Lucario's foot. Then she began to slowly slide her foot paw back and forth on top of Lucario's.

Lucario breathed out calmly, giving his all to not chuckling due to the tingly sensation of their foot paws touching. He thoroughly enjoyed the rubbing of Braixen's smaller paw atop his own bigger and wider one. He looked down and saw that Braixen was starting to move her foot paw up onto his ankle and up his leg.

Lucario gulped audibly, and something inside him insisted that he should not allow himself to be outdone. He looked back up at Braixen, who was currently looking down with pure impish delight on her face, and slowly reached out and carefully took her left paw in his own right paw.

Braixen looked up, surprise evident on her face as Lucario held the smaller white paw in his bigger black one. Lucario admired Braixen's paw, how it had three slender digits and was completely covered with white fur. It contrasted nicely against his own thick and muscular black paw with its pink paw pads.

Lucario let out a chuckle as he then placed his left paw on top of Braixen's. Now her paw was sandwiched between Lucario's paws, and thus completely hidden.

Braixen blinked silently, then burst out in giggling laughter. Apparently this "paw sandwich" routine was hilarious to her.

As his paws were currently occupied, Lucario mentally pumped his fist in victory as he smiled back at her, letting out another well controlled chuckle. When Braixen stopped laughing and caught her breath, she took a moment to gaze directly into Lucario's eyes. Lucario's heart thumped a bit louder as he looked back into her eyes as well.

This moment got interrupted, however, by a loud grumbling that came from Lucario's stomach.

Lucario gasped, and shrank back a bit from Braixen in awkward embarrassment. Braixen, for her part, just gave a wry grin and rolled her eyes. She pulled her paw out from between Lucario's paws, and then took her foot paw off of Lucario's leg. She motioned for Lucario to stay where he was, and then she twirled around and skipped toward what Lucario had come here for in the first place: the berry tree.

Braixen stopped at the base of the tree and took out her branch. She then stood on the tips of the toes of her right foot paw, sticking out her left leg as she stretched out her right leg. She held the branch in her left paw as she reached up as high as she could with her left arm. With a swing of her branch, she knocked down a large Sitrus berry, which landed eight in her open right paw.

Braixen twirled around again and skipped back over to Lucario, and she held the large Sitrus berry out to him. Lucario was surprised at the sudden gift giving, but smiled thankfully and reached out to take the berry. Braixen, however, pulled the berry back suddenly and smiled, shaking her head at him. Lucario was confused by the teasing at first, but then Braixen extended her arm again and bumped the fruit against his mouth a few times. She made a few motions with her left paw, which Lucario realized meant she wanted him to open his mouth.

Lucario was unsure of why she wanted to feed him, but he decided to go along with it. He doubted he could say no to her if he tried. So, he opened wide, and Braixen put the Sitrus berry to his mouth. He took a bite of it, the sour flavor invigorating his taste buds. As he chewed and swallowed, Braixen then placed the bitten berry in his left paw. The second Braixen stood expectantly with her mouth open, Lucario knew exactly what was going on.

With a warm chuckle, Lucario put the opposite side of the berry to Braixen’s mouth and let her take a bite into it. Braixen giggled through her chewing, her cheek rosy as she smiled while chewing. Lucario smiled back and handed her the Sitrus berry.

The pair went back and forth, feeding each other bites of berry, until all that was left was the stem. Braixen smiled at the stem before tossing it aside and sighing cutely. Lucario nodded, having thoroughly enjoyed that berry more than any berry he had ever eaten before. He loved that experience so much, and he admired Braixen for coming up with it. However, now he felt slightly out done, and wanted to repay her somehow. An opportunity came to him when he noticed the state of the white fur on her face, particularly the bits of berry stuck in it.

Lucario grinned as he reached out his right paw and gently caressed Braixen’s cheek. Her eyes widened and her breath caught in her chest as Lucario carefully ran his paw with a gentleness she didn’t expect across the left side of her face. The paw gently flicked bits of Sitrus berry out of her fur, while also smoothing out the fur that covered her cheeks. He then switched paws and worked on the right side. In no time at all, Braixen’s face fur was neat, tidy, and clean.

Braixen squealed happily as she tilted her head and put her paws together. She then reached out and put her paws on Lucario’s shoulders, her eyes practically sparkling as she leaned in close. At this point, Lucario could feel Braixen’s breath on his face, which was just about all he could stand. He reciprocated Braixen’s movements, putting his paws on her shoulders, and then took it one step further. Following both his heart and the burning desire of his soul, Lucario went all the way and leaned forward, pressing his nose against Braxien’s.

Braixen gasped very loudly, her ears sticking straight up at the nose on nose contact. Then her eyes rolled upwards in bliss as her right leg popped up as the two stood close together with their noses touching. She leaned into Lucario, and the pair went from merely putting their paws on each other's shoulders to fully embracing each other, with Lucario leaning at just the right angle so his chest spike wasn’t an issue.

Both of their tails went into overdrive as they wagged back and forth in time, as the pair passionately nuzzled each other.

Finally, the pair pulled their heads back and merely looked into each other’s eyes. Then Lucario suddenly swept Braixen off of her foot paws and carried her bridal style in his arms. Braixen squealed and laughed in delight as Lucario carried her off. She pointed out places to go and gave excited directions, which Lucario followed with a smile as he enjoyed how soft, warm, and loving the Fire-type felt in his arms.
