I love cute things as well so I'm happy to share that joy through my amusing lil Totodile. ^_^

Is that cookie dough edible tho?

if he eats it very fast I think so

Oh, preferrably it is the kind that you can buy and have with a spoon or add some baking soda, but I treat such things with more of a toony logic in mind anyways, so it's nothing to overthink for too long. ;3

Thanks a lot, Bready. You returned with a really quick reply back after the first exchange about the PayPal transfer. And the draft and colored version of this one turned out all quite lovely. While I was a fan of the sheer jolly idea of a character bathing in some tasty treats, I find it sweet how with Shiny it gives off a sandbox/playground feel here. He's sitting in that large vat with lots of nice scenting goodness and llikely had quite the mix of a soft and squelching landing, given how Shiny's tail and bum are submerged in it. I can imagine that he got some dough on his face while playing with the stuff in his paws like putty or mud. Given that part, I really like the body and facial expression of your art. You recreated Shiny's design really well and I'm glad that you exclaimed that you enjoyed drawing him.

That dough sure turned out tasty in appearance as well, I wanna point out. In a way, looking at all the dough, it gives off the impression as if Shiny would sit on a large chocolate chip cookie. Partly it reminds me of a nice sand-like color and the brown little crumbles give it a nice accent in that earthy feel. Shiny loves chocolate so he likely will be happy for all the little chips that make their way in his jaws like that batch of doughy goodness that he just dropped on his tongue.
I gotta add yet that I enjoy your nice sense of cell shading here either a bunch. Plus you gave that vat backdrop a nice gradient color transition that lends itself greatly to the metal material.

Again, big thanks for your accuracy and swift communication. It's been a great experience and if you ever wish to suggest more ideas of what you'd find lovely to add Shiny into, I gladly listen. You did add Shiny's beloved neckerchief and hedphones with his signature ♪ symbol to an excellent degree and all that you can really get away from this image is that Shiny is quite lucky.
As how most arts do inspire me let me tell folks that Shiny sooner or later surely gets out of this. And whether Shiny climbed/hopped in there by himself or if it was some prankish peril setup by somebody who knows of how much Shiny likes himself some yummy stuffs, it does mostly result in Shiny having a fun playtime in there like most people know him.

What I find also fun: given the illustration's design, one could imagine it like being what folks can see through some sort of window from outside the vat. XD
Option 1: "Please follow me, ladies and gentlemen, to the next section of our tour. Here we have the chocolate chip cookie dough storage that holds the ready product before being put into its container...*sees the Totodile waving in there* AHHHH! What is that Dile doing in there?!"
Option 2: "Now lets see all these fun controls, we've got here. The little fella is in there like planned, now do we give him more dough and see what happens or do we turn on the mixers and see how that does soften up the dough some more?"
And tehre are likely a bunch of otehr possible reactions from folks looking at Shiny through this window. <X3
All I can say is that there is of course nothing to worry when it comes to my toony mascot. Would he be covered in dough and baked into a cookie, he'd likely make the best of it and just wait until somebody might free the big cookie statue. Would he sing further into the dough, then he'd take a nap and not be really affected being submerged. Instead he could just wait, eat some dough and either he ends up being squeezed out into a bucket to ship dough in or he'd reach the floor and slowly climb out in case tehre is a ladder. Plus, people luckily fseem to know where he is most of the time. He'd not get bored thanks to his headphones and enjoy the doughy meal. All happy as a Shiny can be.

Can highly recommend to come with your ideas to Bready. For me it is a fun and adorable take on the WAM and Quicksand subject and for my mascot it became a totodily tasty treat, too! (-^.=.^-)
