I was thinking he's in line to the bathroom, but Duncan's football in the groin suggestion should win.

If I had to come up with a unique situation, maybe his parents put him in line to see Santa at the mall. And the mall just got some crazy homeless guy off the streets to act as him. Hilarity ensues.
