TWO STORIES IN ONE WEEK WHAT!? Yes, this is another story I hav e had in the works for a long time. It came about between one of the many vorny conversations between me and
kelenkenwithfangs (whom has drawn the thumbnail for this. Anyway, enjoy!
Drama On the Runway
The Top Supermodel has been on air since 2002, and has always been inclusive. Anyone could win no matter their age, sex, or species. Birds, mammals, reptiles, and even humans line up to have a shot at winning the cash prize and the title of “Ms./Mr. Beautiful.” Ravi Peacock was one of many peacocks that have signed up to be a contender. Two or three of the ever prideful and arrogant peafowl people would enroll every season, and it was almost guaranteed one of them would reach the finals. Surprisingly, though, the only peafowl to ever win was an unusually colored peahen. Ravi was determined to be the next winning peafowl.
But he’s not alone. All of the contestants want to win. The two humans, the cheetah, the scarlet macaw, the squirrel; they all wanted to win. While Ravi may have had the most natural beautiful plumage and form, the others made up for their specie’s shortcomings in fashionable clothing. All he needed was own feathers and charisma.
While everyone seemed fine with his natural advantage, one of the two humans seemed to have a problem. Backstage, she would give him dirty looks. To the best of his knowledge she was just jealous of how pretty he was, or maybe she felt it was unfair that he’d be allowed to compete because of just how beautiful he was. He didn’t care enough to confront her.
The final stage of the televised pageant was about to begin: the pose contest. Ravi was saving the best for last. Up until now, he had refrained from showing off his tail feathers. Many peacocks would put them up for display as many times as they could, and it got uninteresting very quickly. But if he only did it once, it could be enough to take their breaths away.
Jezebella scoffed at that watercolored buffoon. It took every ounce of restraint she had to not tell the producers Ravi that should not have been allowed to compete. He had to put no effort into anything he did while everyone else had to work to get here. But she didn’t want to risk the judges catching wind of her criticism and having it affect her score. She practiced her pose in the mirror as everyone was getting ready. Her yellow dress brighted the glass in front of her; it’s design and pattern perfectly complimenting her slim body and face. If there was a picture of the ideal female human, it was probably of her.
When it came time to line up for the judge’s final challenge, she was last in the lineup. The other human contestant went first for alphabetical order, but she was last to give the lineup a symmetrical feel. She didn’t mind that so much. What started grinding her gears, however, was that she was behind Ravi and his long train of green feathers. Before they walked on stage, she couldn’t help herself from making the comment.
“Be careful with those tail feathers, you hear? I don’t feel like tripping over them on stage.”
Ravi picked up on her sass and replied in a semi shriek-voice “I think it’ll be you who will want to watch my feathers when I go out there.~”
‘So that’s what he’s going to do’ she figured out. ‘And here I thought that flamboyant chicken was going to spare us from that tail.’ In unison the contestants walked on stage. Ravi put his eyes forward and Jezabella rolled her’s.
To be frank, the other contestants did not have any outstanding poses. As one contestant would walk back to the stage on the runway, the next model would walk forward and meet each other in the middle of the runway. Even though none of them were really interested in each other, the models maintained a trained smile and friendly stance. When it was their turn, they would stride down the runway and show their stuff.
Jezabella paid extra attention to Ravi as he walked. She was about to go on, after all. When he reached the end, he stretched his arms upwards along with his lush tail. Audible gasps were heard from the crowd and the judges seemed impressed. The audience was graced with a spectacular array of vibrant cool colors and patterns of blue eyes looking at them. She didn’t get to see it, though. Behind a peacock’s tail was nowhere near as impressive as the front. Camera flashes were moderate before, but when Ravi spread his feathers out, they were threatening to cause blindness. Jezabella didn’t dare scowl now. It would be immortalized in one of the camera flashes.
Ravi started to walk backwards, keeping his fan of feathers in view of the audience. Jezabel started walking forward waving at the audience and judges. Thanks to that peacock, she had a tough act to follow. When she met him in the middle, she couldn’t help but make a snide remake.
“Oh, a peacock fanning his tail out. How original…”
Jezabella’s smile was genuine now, but it didn’t last. As she walked past Ravi, his head was brought down unto her’s. But it wasn’t a simple peck, his beak was wide open. She squealed for a second then the audience gasped again, but this time, in shock. The humans were in total shock, while any anthros were anywhere between mild surprise, or amused. Every one of the judges, a goose, clapped in amusement. Instead of becoming the center of attention, she is going to the center of the peacock. Ravi lifted his head into the air with Jezabel’s legs dangling out and kicking wildly. She could feel him bob his head that sent her further down into the tight confines of the bird. She wiggled her arms in an attempt to punch at the muscles confining her and pushing her lower and lower.
With just a few bobs of his head, Ravi’s competitor was nothing but a bulge in his neck sinking down until she disappeared into his diaphragm. He let out a satisfying sigh to see the mixed reactions of the crowd. Pretty much every anthro was cheering while every human cringed in disgust. All he could was let out a smile as his stomach bulged out to accommodate his meal. Before things got out of hand, he was escorted off stage and placed in the green room.
While the show managers and the director argued outside the room, Ravi just layed on the couch feeling Jezabella struggle inside his stomach. It felt wonderful to be so full, especially to the detriment of such a bitchy prey. He tried to get his head as close to his belly as possible so he could hear her inside, but heard nothing. He shrugged and went back to lounging.
He patted his belly with a wing hand as the director walked in. To make a long story short, he was disqualified. But it wasn't all bad, he got to keep his meal!
Inside Ravi’s belly, Jezabella was breathing her last breaths. The air was unbearable and she was struggling to stay conscious. The stomach acids were already burning her skin red. Holes were in her dress and her hair was ruined. It was hell inside a stomach; not safe for human habitation. Suddenly, she felt a rush of wind run past her. The stomach quenched around her, breaking her arms and legs in the process making a loud CRUNCH. She tried to scream, but there was no air to suck into her lungs for sound. All that came out were some coughs and grunts. She struggled with the last of her energy until she died of suffocation.
Ravi would never know the exact moment she died inside him, but he knew she was gone by the time he got home. He didn't need to make dinner, he was full. He didn't have to undress, he’s covered in feathers. He didn’t have to brush his teeth, he has none. The only thing he felt compelled to do was preen before he went to bed. As he preened, he paid special attention to his belly feathers. It wasn’t because they needed special attention, but because he liked feeling his belly jiggle with its food inside.
Going to bed, he could feel his stomach was mostly mush by now. Only a few solid bones remained while the rest was slowly being siphoned into his intestines. When he woke up the next day, the belly jiggle was gone. It moved all over his body. The woman added a bit of heft to him everywhere. Heft that he could feel as he got out of bed to barf up a pellet full of dress, hair, and bones.
How ever much that dress cost before it went through him, it was certainly more than what it was worth after going through a bird.
