As a warm up I tried sketching Naomi since people were asking about her on CuriousCat. Naomi is a character Idea that was going to be Vicki's pen pal, a girl she became friends with while on a road/camping tip with her family. Just wanted to throw some colors down to see how they would look since people kept asking about them, Meant to be a fast quick color job but got complicated fast lol I think Naomi turned out pretty good. Naomi became really popular on Twitter,
I came up with the concept for Naomi while I was trying to flesh out early details for Vicki, I had two thoughts going on in my head 1 was trying to explore Vicki's American side to contrast with the Irish setting and characters. but I wasn't really coming up with anything I liked and I wanted to avoid clichés and stereotypes so I sort of thought about making a new American character that could be Vicki's friend and in my head what's more American then native American lol. And 2 I was also thinking at the same time of creating some characters based on other mythologies around the world, And I was a bit familiar with some native American stories from when I was a kid and Like Celtic mythology people hardly know anything at all about them and thought that could be a lot of fun. Those two ideas quickly merged together and became Naomi, Vicki's coyote native American friend and pen pal. the dots just sort of connected themselves.
While she's existed for a very long time I've never drawn her until recently "Honestly I've been a little afraid to incase I accidently made it disrespectful in some way" but I've had a general idea of what she should look like in my head.

Naomi works as a park ranger as she's completing college, she mostly eats typical college dorm Life fast food and junk food and really likes donuts she gets free ones from the ranger station. Vicki might have developed a little crush on her when she was in high school until she learned Naomi had a boyfriend.
Naomi doesn't have a full story or details fleshed out yet as I would need to do a ton more research, I haven't decided what tribe she's part of but people have suggested Navajo which could work well as I kind of imagined her from somewhere in the American south west but still undecided.
