Since I drew Amanacer's "current" whereabouts in China in 1922 I thought I'd draw a younger Amanacer in 1917 during his time in the US Army in the midst of the First World War. Pictured here is him shortly after arriving in France.
In my head canon for Amanacer, I like to think following the war's end Amanacer was kept around for the ensuing occupation of Germany. However in the couple of years after the war he had seen all his friends and compatriots be discharged and allowed to head home yet his time never came.
Finally in 1920 he went AWOL out of frustration. Having spent some of his army pay on civilian clothes he abandoned his uniform and stole a Tommy Gun (and -a lot- of ammo)! He had heard some warlords over in some place China were looking for mercenaries and he set off looking to make his fortune!
