Conceptua Machinara 14 out of ???
____
This mech has plugged into their workbench to use it as a temporary proxy...
and see themselves from a 3rd person perspective while performing repairs on their own body.
Learning to proxy in the first place can be very confusing but you get used to it after a while.
Any kind of proxy use is discomforting at first, since you're literally having an out of body experience - normally most biological bodies don't have a way to see themselves from a third person view.
It can be psychologically stressful, but it's extremely handy as an ability, and if you're going to live as a machine, you might as well make use of your new body's capabilities.
If this were a VR game - your controllers would map to two of those robot hands, and you could use them to inspect, remove, replace and repair parts on your mecha body - I think that's a good way to explain it.

Goddd your biological machine (?) stuff is so awesome!! not only is it so beautifully drawn and coloured (the sketches too!), it's all just so fascinating and so cool. it's the kind of worldbuilding i'd like to do with this kinda stuff one day, when i'm less shy. plus the way you draw mechs is heavenly! i love it!
It's so weird when it suddenly clicks!
This is all just a shower thought that got out of hand.
Once you realize that you can just... decide on everything.
Make something up - a story - mechanics - rules for everything.
When people ask, if you don't know, lie. Just go for what feels right. It's your world, after all.
Once you've done it for a few pieces it becomes a more natural feeling. You have your existing pieces to find your way back into the headspace of the narrative, world and creation you're working on.
It gets substantially easier.
Just tell a story and insist that it's all real.
Insist that you know what you want to make - because deep down, you probably do know.
You know what feels right. Invite people to ask questions about it, and the answers will come to you - now you have more things to draw, inviting even more questions.
Just... make stuff up. Create with the energy of Bob Ross.
