In one reality, Mary Mayfleet gained her powers and became the long-hair runner, Marython. She was loved by her family and dangerous to her villains.

But in another universe, things did not progress quite the same. Oh yes, Mary did gain super speed and tried to become a hero but there was someone who grew jealous in her shadow. Teresa "Tracy" Mayfleet was angered that her accomplishments as a scientist were overshadowed by her sister's heroics. If powers like super speed were to be found, what use was developing faster cars or the like? The constant blindness of her deeds drove Tracy over the edge. She began to work radical experiments on tachyons (particles that travel through time) and pushed herself to her limits.

Sadly, those limits led to a terrible accident that seemed to result in Tracy's death. But in truth she had been reborn, charged with her own speedster abilities but driving by a mad sense of proving her power. She finally "proved" them by slaying her own sister. Thus was born Tracyon, one of the world's greatest villains who sought to increase her abilities until she was like a god. Even managing to break the barriers between worlds where she found another version of her sister, and another target of her vengeance.
