I came across an interesting list of names of full moons like the Owl Moon or the Moon of Thunderstorms and Berries, and I really wanted to create a little series with illustrations for each of them. Twelve full moons - twelve works for a year, hope to overpower! :)
This work - on yesterday’s August full moon, which called the Harvest Moon. Cold air after a hot day, greens touched by the autumn, last berries - tried to remember all my feelings from August. Also was thinking about stars and meteors but haven't enough space on art for that x) And here is a little mystical symbolism as the search was inspired by medieval books of hours. So all the months will indicate with not only by the name but also with the alchemical symbol and with the mineral or gemstone which is believed to be the talisman of this period of the year.
