Subjective opinion anyhow, doesn't it have like tens of millions of fans literally all over the world who love DBZ for so many different reasons anyhow?
And 100% on his shit attitude. He clearly has no tact. No one likes hearing a walking, breathing Twitter account dishing uncalled hot takes no one asked for. On the moment he probably found out he dad's gay, no less.

Thats the funny thing, since he is speaking like a walking twitter bot, he obviously doesn't care the fact his dad is gay or bi, he more cares about ridiculing someone elses fandom, and out in public no less. So yes, its nice that he just accepts his dad the way he is, but still his attitude to others interests is shitty and he needs a reality check.
By the way, the characters on Zoomer's shirt make one think of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Manga. That's, that's what that's from. The Jojo Manga. Written/illustrated by Hirohiko Araki.
A series of aptly "Bizzare" stories about characters doing a lot of posturing while beating the shit out of each other with psychic powers. In many respects it's similar to DBZ, but it feels slightly more grounded because the focus isn't on one character trying to be their absolute absurdly strongest, and we go from one focus character to the next down the line of a generational lineage that have the common thread of a star-shaped birthmark on their body.
If I had a least favorite among the plethora of Jojo stories that exist right now, it'd be Vento Aureo (Golden Wind). But my absolute tie for 1st place is Diamond is Unbreakable/Stone Ocean.
Zoomer's comment toward DBZ isn't unfounded as that is the formula for pretty much the entirety of the show.
As for me, DBZ is a "take it or leave it" deal. It's a fun ride, it has a cherished spot in my memories, but nowadays, I fawn over One-Punch Man.

He's not wrong - as much as I liked DBZ, its pacing was rather slow with way too much talking...Yu-Gi-Oh has the same problem. Like, I know you have to have SOME dialogue interaction between the characters, but when a single duel drags on for 5+ episodes because of it, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, JUST SHUT UP AND DUEL ALREADY!
Not the best way to say it, really need to work on that attitude but... that being said, he does have a point, tho it's OK I there are people who are into that... considering his massive fan base. I grew up with dbz and Saint Seiya and I liked both... but now I hate db and what it become nowadays. So I understand both point of views.
On a side not, maybe if you consider the situation he was pulled in was also not the best moment and he just bent his frustration like that. Still not cool, not an excuse (even tho he does have a point) but... I can understand it.

Eh, I can't help but agree with Zoomer. The Dragonball series is simple, but it overly relies on it more often than not and has Goku act with too much agency while the other characters aren't given a chance to shine which is a missed opportunity. I do like Saint Seiya, though, as that is a classic! I need to catch up on it.
