I was very frustrated with another drawing this evening. I couldn't get a pose just right, and I kept undoing, erasing and restarting until I no longer wanted to work on it.
To remedy this mental state, I made this drawing without erasing or undoing. As it turned into a dance scene, I realized there is no going back in your actions whether it's ink on paper or your body on the dance floor! In both situations, you can expect odd postures and strange body movements.

It's probably worth learning to draw without erasing, because it's like a mini-version of the speed drawings and figure drawings they make people do in art school -- they do tasks that make inhibitions too cumbersome to deal with so things like gesture can be internalized and improved more effectively.
Anyways, I've been using a pen since I decided to learn to draw. It's probably been helpful. It's hard to decide whether accuracy or a sense of danger () are better ideals. I apologize for rambling though.

Drawing with real ink has been an interesting experience in recent days. I bought a sketchbook after months of only drawing digitally, and I find myself making the crtl-z motion with my thumb and index finger as I draw even though I'm not at the computer. It'll get even more interesting once I get a brush pen.
