Arc takes a deep breath as he stands at the edge of the Destination Gate. Every student of the Greymalkin Academy of Magic must pass through this gate as the final stage of their study. The old conjuration spell within the stone will then immediately transport them to a different location, potentially far away from the Academy’s halls. They are then expected to make the return journey on their own, honing their magic skills and providing aid to others as they go. Once they make it back to the Academy, they are considered a mage in full-standing.
No one knows exactly where the Gate will lead to, it varies for each student. Nevertheless Arc can feel what must surely be the eyes of the entire Academy at his back. With a deep breath, he takes one final step and the magic envelopes him. Little does he know that it will take him farther from his familiar world than he ever imagined…
Recently my D&D group started a new campaign using Journey's Through the Radiant Citadel as a base. This is my character: Arc, a black cat Tabaxi and Divine Soul Sorcerer. This unsure kitty definitely didn't expect to find himself transported all the way to Ethereal Plane as part of his graduation but I think he'll be in for some pretty fantastic adventures with the rest of the party!
