Oftentimes the way a dyed piece of paper comes out is what dictates what goes onto it. Seeing the orange and blue with the leaf patterns I couldn't help but think of a deep, cool pond. And I love koifish.

Letting the paper speak to you is a very awesome thing, I think it came out wonderfully. Frankly this is an amazing work not only because you are a talented and skilled artist, but because you had the ability to see what this paper could be, and went with the flow (pun intended?) instead of trying to force it to be something else.
