A pair of US army rangers taking a break on their recon mission and watching a F-15 enter the valley below.
An attempt at drawing some lovely winter mountain scenery... which I definetly failed in doing. Not bad for a first try id say..

The Italians tried to invade the french alps in 1940, and were defeated by a far smaller, but very well dug in french force. It has been deemed likely that, considering this and the depth of swiss defences, that the germans would've suffered very heavy casualties, at an unacceptable rate.
Awesome! I really like where this piece was directed.
You say you failed at making the scenery? I would argue to differ, but if you really feel that way, I would recommend finding some good stock photos of mountain ranges and analyzing which elements of those photos you may have left out. For a different perspective, try to dig up videos of Bob Ross painting mountain ranges. The step-by-step approach may not always be applicable for our medium, but the concepts carry over nicely (I would know, I use his examples all the time in practice!). Good luck!

Ah thanks a lot! Living near the alps, i can actually see a mountain range frow the window where i live. Its just the contrast between the exposed rock and snow, and between light blue shaded areas and glaring white sunlit areas is quite hard to get right. My inner perfectionist is disappoint thats all. Btw that dude was awesome. RIP.
