Been slowly commissioning headshots of many of my characters! Can also be used as a show for UTO species! This one is Ahgyak! Her story will be building up and setting the stones for Time In a Bottle, a larger story project that will be finished... Next year..? I am bad at guessing XD

Ahgyak grunted; her legs cried out for release, nearly making her drop the heavy box in her arms. Setting it down hard, the Asishi took a pained breath and felt her back. There was a snicker from the front of the stuffed store from a Lupari guard she had known for years.
"Time taking its toll on you?"
With a frustrated wave, she leaned over to try and ease the pain in her legs. She had arrived at the station just a day or so prior. While she liked seeing the Lupari again, he was a far cry from the young rascal she knew.
"As if age hasn't changed you too, Yiuarn. Whatever happened to the brilliant little boy? I thought you'd have been off to college by now."
The man put his hand to his chest and slumped against the door. Pretending to be hurt by the Asishi's words. Cracking a broad smile, he walked into the shop, setting his rifle to the side.
"Well, someone has to make sure the station is safe. What with you going off and joining the UAF... Whatever happened to that, by the way? Felt too homesick?"
Ahgyak wrapped her hands around another box, but her back twisted awkwardly in trying to lift it. With a curse, she groaned as the box spilled over. Spraying the metal contents all across the floor. As she bent down to try and clean it up, the Lupari raised a hand and bent down for her. Ahgyak sighed and nodded, rubbing her wrists.
"I guess you could say that... Just had a bit of a falling out with a commander. Lost some close friends to a stupid order."
Her voice showed that she mourned the loss still, though the Lupari didn't push for further details.
"Well... It's good to see you back. Have to admit, things have been a bit hectic around here. We needed our crazy aunt back."
Tilting her head, the Asishi nodded and glanced out the front of her shop. It was rare, but on occasion, a human mech would pass. Ahgyak knew humans would become part of everyday life, yet it struck her as odd some would be this far out on the fringe.
"What, with the changes being made? I've already heard of them. On the flight out here, I was reading up on the changes... I'm thankful you didn't turn my shop into a small apartment for them. As cute as that would be."
As Yiuarn began putting items in the box, he nodded, though he chose not to comment. Ahgyak grinned and patted the boy on his armored back. Wanting to change the topic, he turned his eyes to the woman before pointing to the side of his cheek.
"Was waiting for you to bring it up, but mind telling me what happened to your eye?"
Blinking one eye, the Asishi tapped the metal covering over her other eye. Her smile wained slightly, but she nodded while motioning to the boxes.
"You will get your tales of heroism later... If you help clean up around here... I can't believe you guys just used my mom's shop as storage."
Yiuarn shrugged, picking up box after box to try and help file them away. Unsure of how to respond, he kept his mouth shut as they worked. He was happy that Ahgyak was back, fondly remembering when she helped her mom at this shop. Though that had been nearly twenty years ago, it was clear both had changed.
The Asishi was happy with the silence, giving her time to think. It shocked her that after their arguments, her running off to the UAF, and years of no communication, her mother left the shop for her after she passed.
Sighing, Ahgyak leaned on a newly uncovered metal working table. Feeling the rough surface of its top while memories trickled back.
After an hour, many boxes had been stowed away or given to their respective owners. Two hours, and much of the shop was now walkable without tripping hazards. Three turned to four, and Ahgyak wiped her brow as she looked at their work.
The shop wasn't glorious, and many machines would have to be repaired or replaced due to non-use though this was home. Yiuarn coughed, soon speaking up while wiping his gloved hands.
"Well... This is a sight I haven't seen in... Fifteen years at least."
Ahgyak smiled and nodded quickly, walking to each machine to check its control panel. As she suspected, much of it was barely functional. But she was pleasantly surprised when she realized many of them were quick fixes.
"Mmm..."
Patting the side of her forge, she turned her eye to the Lupari. He fixed his stance, and the Asishi smiled at the strong young man he had become. Tilting her head, she would cross her arms.
"I guess I owe you some stories... Have to say... I'm proud of you, Yiuarn. You shaped up to be a good young man."
Yiuarn nodded, and his tail began wagging fervently. Motioning him along, she figured it would be best for a reunion if they went to the bar. Patting his shoulder, Ahgyak paused and turned to look back at her shop. The Asishi smiled and left off with her old friend. Soon she will work the hot forge like her mother always had; the stars knew this station needed it.
