Doing odd jobs for retired military people this was my fantasy scenario with them. Especially since you can retire just after 5-10 years minimum service here.
These guys would be in shape and take jobs with security and facility management so they kept in shape. Most of them kept their training equipment out in the garage and had zero self awareness of their surroundings so I could always get a front row seat from my balcony or when I was trimming their lawns as a young guy looking to make odd cash here and there.
Would trade it all if one of them had this experience with me.
