A commission done for SparraWingshard of their wonderful character Sparra.
Considering I was given complete freedom with this picture ... I ended up basing it on a tale I once heard. The story in a nutshell:
The gryphon could not defeat the dragon in combat so she lured it into the sea. Once the dragon had splashed into the water, trying to catch the nimble gryphon, the gryphon smirked at him. The dragon struggled, trying to capture the gryphon with his flames but the water around him had doused the flames that used to burn brightly inside of him.
The gryphon flew away as the dragon continued to struggle, unable to leave his watery prison ...
Yes, maybe this is how seadragons were created, I have no idea |3 either way, enjoy, and visit Sparra, their characters are awesome <3

Indeed, very interesting story that I've never heard of...
This game out great though! I love the style of shading you do (still can't believe it's all 1 layer), plus the situation I find is quite humorous... It certainly fits what Sparra would do though! I especially love the water, and her posture... Keep up the superb work! <3
