I decided to try a waterfall painting, using the tutorial that james_julier put onto YouTube a couple of years ago. I watched the whole video first, then started it again and tried to paint along.
Instead of the autumn forest, I wanted to do more of a spring/summer version. Then, I thought, make it a lush rainforest/jungle.
I am really beginning to enjoy these landscape/environment studies. I still haven’t found my “go to” brush, and I may never. But that’s not what these paintings are for. They’re to try and get better at doing them.
