One of the other people I met at Fur-eh was
Lupie1324, who was doing designs for
Blazewing2010 to etch onto glass, while also taking badge commissions herself. I liked some of what I saw of her style, and decided to get one of the badges that she printed with a 'sparkly' lamination (which was similar to the 'holographic' badges that
Iron_Raptor did). I just received the badge in the mail a few days ago, and so I'm posting this here now.
This is from the original image sent to me for approval, mostly because the badge itself looks like you're looking at me through broken glass. It's like the metallic or UV inks I've had on other commissions, sadly it just really doesn't scan well. I really should figure out some way of doing it with photographs and animation or something like that.
For that matter, I should probably post the picture of the glasses I got from
Blazewing2010 a few years back while I'm thinking about it.

2Paw met and befriended the Great Blue Monocerous on Twitter, and amongst his gifts he did not eat the werewolf! <3 Tugrik is an ossum chummer, which I suspect you know well, and I like him and he smells good, like a home-cooked meal waiting past the big, musty blue beast at the front door.

I really like the Tugrik, I do. I knew him from afar as a bit of a legend back in the day, like
Rogue was to me as well (though oddly enough, I did get to meet him and enjoy a bit of megawolf-stomping fun on FurryMUCK with him once very early in my tenure there), saw him included IC in many of
rabbi-tom's drawings and his West Corner Of The Park strip in the 1990s and 2000s but I never thought I would become his friend on Twitter, soon after Mutuals and here on FA, and share our friendship as closely as we've grown to know each other and enjoy our company thus.

The scan I did is, sadly, almost more shimmer than badge, as all the reflective bits all reflect at once, even though with the real badge only about a third of them seem to reflect at any given time depending on the angle. It would be nice to average between the two, or do some animation, but that's a non-trivial amount of work to do. So far all I've done is just use the erase function on GIMP to 'shape' the badge by adding transparency to the parts that aren't the badge itself.
