Born and raised in Motostoke in Galar, along with Vulpix, Magby, Charmander,
Torchic, and Scorbunny, he and his Fire Type pals eventually evolved and went on
to become the pride of the Motostoke Gym following the footsteps of the Gym Leader
of Motostoke, Kabu.

In the Kanto region, Arcanine, along with Ninetales, Magmar, Charizard, and Flareon,
became the pride of Cinnabar Island following the Gym Leader Blaine's footsteps,
wearing the Volcano Badge as their symbol to represent Cinnabar Island.

In the Hoenn region, Arcanine and Ninetales had a family of newborn Vulpix and Growlithe
and resided at Lavaridge Town, where they became the pride of Lavarigde following the
fiery footsteps of Gym Leader Flannery, wearing the Heat Badge as their symbol, and soon
after, their Fire Type comrades joined in the ranks like Magmar, Flareon, Blaziken, Camerupt,
Torkoal, Magby, Combusken, Houndour and Houndoom.
