And now I'm caught up!
I do wonder just what's going on in this story, though. It seems like they changed worlds, and gained new histories and everything, but they could have also fused with someone else, somehow? I have a feeling like Mitzi's power of change, that they also share now, may just be modifying one world into others, rather than them actually going to other worlds, but that's not clear either. I thought maybe it was making the world into what they wanted the world to be like, and that made it more exciting and dangerous, sorta increasing both the good and bad towards more extreme states.
What even is this world, or are these worlds? What are their societies like, and people, and why? I'd really like to know more about them. It didn't seem like even at the start they were in just a 'basic' Earth. There's furries and magic and lots of odd tech. The mind controlled soldiers were using magic too, though they didn't seem like any kind of a match for Shayla and Kitti's doubled up parents. I wonder what makes them so special? The police didn't seem to have any issue with them interfering, either.
How is "Treasure Hunter" a career? It kind implies there's a lot of treasure out there to be had, in trap-filled dungeons or whatever, but where did those come from, and why? Most ancient tombs don't have traps, and when they do they're not exactly video gamey. XD But it does seem like this world is super different! Maybe you don't need a reason for them to be there, but it could be fun to come up with some. XD
I kinda get the impression Mitzi is training them to be like her, but she also sorta adopted them and more?
I wonder why they're so into fighting. It doesn't seem like they would have had to do that in their previous lives, but it seems wherever they are now is full of that. Their second lives were full of training, and their current lives have that Fibulus guy...
I really hope a lot of explanation stuff comes along. What happened to Kitti's parents before the fusion? How did they get digitized, and what was that war they were in? What is Mitzi up to, and why are these two going through so many strange situations as part of it?
Just what is the point of this story, also? It's great to look at, but it's really hard to understand. I do love thinking about it though!
I hope you both keep doing whatever it is you're doing. I'm not quite sure what's going on between electrocrow and firedrive24 also. Is firedrive24 writing them and paying you to draw it? Are you making it together? It's a bit odd since each one says for firedrive24, rather than seeming like something you're doing together. But also, for any writer to comission an artist to make this many panels and pages of comics, that'd be a LOT! If you're in cahoots that makes more sense to me, so I'm curious how it is!

Right so to hammer some things into place as it's not as straightforward as it needs to be.
These changes that has happened to the world is more a reality adjustment that Mitzi has done automated as in not watching every little change as it happens but generally overseeing things so that personal choice is still being had a kept. This means there are some things that are happening that she is unaware of even as a deity. I would say this new reality is just as good and bad as the former one but with the extremes on both ends expanded greatly.
This world is a world of both high science and magic where the former world is a world very much comparable to our real world....just with other species of animals that interact like we do. This new reality is a situation where magic and technology seem very similar on surface but has critical differences as we go along. In fact many of my stories all follow a same cannon power structure and exist in the same universe so to speak. It is my hope that many of these stories cross over. Markrina and Kareith are the fusions of Marina and Keith, shayla's parents and Mark and Karen for Kitty's parents. It was very quickly glossed over but Mark and Karen are both geniuses in their field multiple biomedical and engineering degrees. They were the ones who invented the nanites as they are known among other things. During their time being alive in the first place, when they digitized themselves into a hidden lab, and after their fusion into Markrina and Karieth they have worked on and upgraded their design. We have not seen how strong they truly are but at the very least they can't be controlled by Fibulus the vulture.
Treasure hunter isn't exactly something you put on a resume but there are plenty of people that go and try to find fortune where it is. In this situation Keith is an archaeologist and bounty hunter going to long abandoned area's to clear out any forbidden traps before the research team can come in. It is worth pointing out these places are not always on the same planet and many of these traps are set not for grave robbers but actual thieves during the time of those civilizations, they've just been set and preserved for so long even modern day they function. I haven't touched on many of the jobs Keith had but a few will be important.

Yeah there is fighting to be had and Mitzti within reason stays out of the smaller fights for "good and evil" to maintain mortal autonomy and not make decisions for mortals. She hints and threatens as such to kitty and shayla in the first comic. But for now the world is as safe as it was in the previous reality just expanded in both directions. Also Kitty and Shayla really REALLY adore Ketih and his heroics before the fusion. He's tried to keep them from his job for fear of the dangers his profession has. They both however only grew more interested until Keith thanks to Marina comes to the conclusion that if they are going to do this anyways they need to be trained right. They have sense rose to the challenge every single time and before the fusion one would say they are at his level of combat training but don't have his experience just yet.
Kitti's parents were assassinated during the war however using a very prototype of their nanites they managed to save as much of themselves as they could in a matter to energy transfer. This comes at a debilitating cost as the energy needed to sustain them meant hiding in a facility that has been long forgotten and only just barely able to help kitty remotely. Minor things like making sure she gets to a good orphanage and some gifts every so often though they couldn't do more than that. It really killed them emotionally to watch her from essentially behind the monitor. The war was a war of misunderstanding as all are we won't explain what happened. Fibulas was a researcher in the opposition war, the opposition lost and he fled with evil intentions.

This story started off as something fun and to the side but as is usually the case with me and my comics I purchase I enjoyed it too much and decided to keep going.
I am paying for each page yes, its treated like a separate commission every time. But I generally describe my working with anyone as cooperation. To make a point Mitzi and Herbal are Crow's characters.

I guess Fibby has gone rogue with some soldiers, and has been abandonned by his former nation after the war ended? I've heard that sort of thing happens sometimes. Too bad someone like that ended up with such potent nanotech.
It's interesting that there's so many lost civilizations out there for Kieth and his colleagues to investigate. Usually when a civilization falls, there are still people around who make a new one in the same place. I wonder if those mysterious disappearing civilizations might have anything to do with why Mitzi is training them?
