Bill's Teleporter: Brigette (2/3)
<<LAST PAGE
Brigette ran her fingers through the feathers covering her lower body. As the feathers grew longer and fluffier, they collectively felt, paradoxically, heavier and lighter. Rotating her hips an inch caused it all to sway, pulling her body with it, but in a way that seemed to defy gravity. They were dense but so light and yielding, it was like a cloud was growing out of her thighs.
She stroked her armpits as she properly stepped out of the teleporter, and felt the fluff creeping up her arm and into her chest. She turned her head, and something like a party streamer tickled her brow. two regal blue feathers floated over her head. She looked around for something to see her reflection in. Bill got Brigette's attention with a yip, and without words, they seemed to understand each other, as Bill scurried out of the room.
Brigette began to follow, but she stumbled again. When she stopped to listen, she her a faint crackling coming from her legs. She tried again but failed to walk like normal, as her knees began to bend at strange angles. Bill's cute little muzzle poked out from behind the wall, and Brigette answered in the affirmative with a lyrical cry.
Brigette staggered after Bill to a mirror in the other room. Like rising bread dough he feathers began to puff up beneath her dress. She prodded her chest, then began to pat it down with both of her hands. While the feathers alone were yielding and cloudlike, beneath her clothes they were tight and springy. She began playfully bouncing her chest feathers, as even Bill's furry face couldn't hide his blush.
Cricks and cracks began to pop up all over her body like boiling water, loosening and lengthening her neck, forcing her to squat and bend over. As she backed away from the mirror, she saw her Nav out of the corner of her eye. She had to tell Lanette! She was now forced to waddle on her taloned feet as her tailbone stretched out, brushing against her cloud. The stubby little thing prickled as she picked up her Nav. Unfortunately, her fingers were already feathering more quickly than she could dial.
She got about two-thirds of the way through placing the call when she dropped the Nav. In the time it took her to pick it up, her fingers fused into a single-pointed limb. It was only with the help of the feathers that she was able to close her wingtip around the Nav, but with the feathers around the ends of her stretching arms, she could not use the Nav's interface.
It was had to think with the constant sensations of bodily changes, as she felt tail feathers poking out of her nub. Then, as she felt her lips and cartilage begin to fuse into a bony mass, she began pecking at the Nav. She managed to open a call, only able to hope that Lanette had already come home.
The other end picked up. "Brigette?"
Brigette began to answer Lanette, but it became apparent to her that her abilities of human speech had begun to slip away. She hadn't even noticed that she hadn't spoken a word to Bill since she stepped out of the teleporter. It was with great difficulty that she managed to ask Lanette to come to the villa.
"Love you. See you in a bit."
Those were the Brigette's last words of human speech.
