Catherine Brown - human girl transformed into mermaid, one of the main characters of my mermaid series.

Catherine was a university from city of Foxville. She has always been friendly, but rather introvert person, who had two best friends - Fiona O'Connor and Marina Lisichkina - but generally prefered not to take part in busy social life and stuff like that. Miss Brown enjoyed solitude, loved to stroll along empty evening beach or spend time at home with a good book. She was also very modest person and, unlike Fiona, never sunbathed topless or tried skinny dipping, even when she was alone.

After being transformed into mermaid Catherine remained the same, except she felt very uncomfortable among topless sea ladies. The girl introduced them to bikini tops and suddenly covering breasts became super popular among mermaids. Queen Sapphire even officially introduced end of Topless Era and beginning of Bikini Era and granted Catherine official honourable title "Breasthider".

Catherine suddenly became a celebrity and it wasn't easy for her. Mermaids were asking for her autograph, she was invited to parties and social events. Being more a loner she didn't like being in the spotlight, and secretly hoped that such attention will fade away in time. There was also another side - those mermaids (about 1/4 of mermaid population rejected wearing tops and stayed bare-breasted) who stayed topless had mixed opinion on Miss Breasthider. Some of them thought it is personal decision of every mermaid - to cover or not to cover breasts - and didn't hold grudges against Catherine. But ladies from "Unchained Breasts" movement were another case. These mermaids saw bikini tops as a vile attack on ancient culture of merfolk and many of them hated Catherine who began all this.

Life of poor Miss Brown suddenly became much more difficult. Luckily she was supported by Fiona and Marina (also transformed into mermaids) and her new best friend - mermaid Princess Agatha. Who knows what other surprises await her in the future!
