There’s a deliberate contrast between the portrayal of the search for Cass’ and Noah’s cures in the previous chapter and this one, respectively. The exposition around Cass’ cure focuses on exactly how the nanobots work and the sequence of actions to get her back to her human form. The narrative drama around Noah’s cure is less about how he can be cured, and more about how the characters arrive at the cure and what the search reveals about the characters themselves.
(An explanation of the cure itself will come, don’t worry.)

And we see it takes more than a simple apology to fix things. But Ash is now trying to civilized with Morty instead of lashing out, since Morty isn't thinking self-servingly, he's thinking objectively. And Ash realize that Morty does truly care for 13, And so presents him with an analogy for WHY Noah would make the choices he did. And the slight effect of Morty's hands trembling show that Morty isn't as dead to empathy as you'd think he'd be.
