they came to me with this idea and asked if I was interested. (and of course I was)
Anonymouse~ provided the truck and very detailed plan for the picture. both characters also belong to Anonymouse~

Still can’t thank you enough for collaborating with me on this idea/image. As early as I am in the stages of learning how to be an artist it’s been so rewarding to have this experience working with you. Our combined hard work truly paid off as this captures the idea I had perfectly.
Thanks again and looking forward to working with you again sometime.

Your contribution looks great haha and you couldn't've picked a better person to work with ^^ I'm no artist, but I thought I should mention something I think could be improved: I think the roof of the truck seems a bit too steeply angled for the perspective. I can see that you wanted to show the truck going back into the distance, a 3/4 view or equivalent, but with that top line, it looks kinda like the back is actually taller than the rest of it, an hourglass shape almost. Now, this may well exist, and even be your reference, and it's not a big thing, I just thought I'd mention it: were that line a little closer to flat (but not completely, it might just give it that little bit more realistic a perspective. Still, for a fledgling artist, looks good!!
Your feedback is very much appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to write it.
I do agree with you about the angling. That was something that was very difficult to get at least within the ballpark of correct. I had to look at a lot of ref images to try to figure it out. Plus, I also didn't want to keep Clover waiting too long so I just took the approach of "good enough" and went with it.
Truth be told most of the body of the truck was a bit of an after thought though. I'd originally planned on doing just the very rear of the truck since there's where the action would be happening, but I soon realized this would make setting up the rest of the scene more difficult so that's why I added back in, even though it wasn't perfect or ideal. In another improved sketch that I am working on I am addressing that so in the future hopefully these collaborations will come out even better.
And you are so right, Clover was a blast to work with and I hope we can do some sort of collab again in the future. I mean, the vehicle sketch we used here was literally only the third or fourth I'd attempted so I am VERY green still. That said I've had many artists (Clover included) say that having started with something notoriously difficult (vehicles) and have a certain skill to draw them from different perspectives means there is at least a little natural talent. So who knows, hopefully it's a skill I can continue to develop if nothing else but for a fun hobby.
Anyways, thanks again for the kind words and giving this silly idea of mine a look.

Oh no worries! I didn't take it that way at all. If anything, I've been keeping my own opinion of myself in check. The words I once used with another artist I'm friends with were "Being able to sketch a truck or two doesn't make me an artist." They didn't agree with me on that but I still acknowledge I've barely even started down this path and have a ton to learn.
So yes, your pointers definitely helped and I'm glad that others see the flaws that I saw too and hopefully moving forward I can address them. And a better art program (not MS Paint) would probably help a ton too. LOL

Dang! So much stuff to dispose of and compact. Glad you two are on the case to get it done :>
Really good job on the truck and all the little details just everywhere is amazing to try and find all the bits. The silly plush face down on the trash can in the foreground is my favorite detail of the bunch for sure. And soon they will be disposed of too <3
