Couch Kitties: Tell 'Em Groucho Sent You
A little tribute to Julius H. Marx, whose passing in 1977 was overshadowed by some corpulent country crooner croaking on the commode...

That is hilarious -- thank you for sharing that!
To be honest: to my knowledge, I was quoting Eek the Cat ...

about 19:45 in (and I will have to rewatch the whole ep now that I see it's actually intact on YouTube!)
... and so knowing Nelvana, I'm sure they would have quoted a whole lot more from that song than they ultimately did, if they'd been able to get away with it on children's TV.

I particularly cherish the memory of Groucho doing a TV special of Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Mikado" and playing Ko-Ko, the hapless Lord High Executioner..., it was great!
And a tip of the hat to Marty Feldman's seemingly impromptu impression of Groucho in that scene in "Young Frankenstein"! "You take the blonde..., I'll take the one in the turban!"
