I'm on team Bogo here. There's a police strike going on, so back up can be pretty much non-existing. Sure, Bogo could've stopped Judy from going, but it would be like trying to stop a walking tank.

True, and who's to say if Nick himself would even survive if he did go with Judy? That ambush was very well coordinated.

If there was ever a villain in this universe that wanted to make an evil clone of Judy to ruin her old image pre cyborg... I wonder if there would be a sort of redemption moment where said clone willingly undergoes a brain transplant of sorts to give Judy a chance to be fully mammal again. To in her words "To make the world truly a better place, by giving back the cop they lost"
Ooo, could even be in a comic where nick reveals having feeling for judy and where judy reveals the same for nick.
