Remember a few pages back, when Rush's mind had been altered by Deva? Long story short, Jupiter and Swoop found Rush one day, all three char. fought, Jupiter and Swoop unfortunately lost the fight. Both of their physical health was becoming poor so to save them, Hawke, Jake, and... one other squirrel woman char. grabbed each other and... well, as a side effect (I'm not an expert on this magic healing process), Jake switched gendersand now he's permanently a woman. "She" can change back to being a man for a few min., but will always revert to being a woman.
It's been half a year since this comic got an update, & it's good to see one after all that time too. Hopefully this means that the colorist Upstairstudios is doing better with everything they had going on. And though I do want to see this comic update much more quickly & frequently, that's ONLY if both the artist & colorist are able to do so with no trouble. That includes if something (or things) is going on outside of this comic.
Regardless of the case, you both keep taking your time on this comic. It's still worth the wait, & this update proves it. (Though I'm personally getting anxious to see how this event gets resolved. And where the story goes afterward.)

Whoa mama! Ok so Jake becomes a guy again but only a limited time?… ho boy. This is gonna be a long and rough adventure for Jake… if he now a she ever gets a first date and better yet if the gang can save Rush… speaking of Rush makes me wonder, where she off too? And more importantly, will she back her normal self or the crew need a new plan? This is gonna be ugly and mayhem… but also space girls with bigger guns… so Go figure.
