Buckle up buckaroos, it’s time to visit Joey Junction! Here’s a map that’s too cool for school, made with the help of a lot of friends! Swing on by the radical kids arcade, or maybe adventure through our three-story playscape and jungle gym! Hungry? We got picky eaters covered~
Our specialty icy drink, RRCI- that’s Radical Roo’s Chilly Ice- will put the zing in your fling and a pep in your step! Hop on over to the drink bar and have a slurp of my Radical Rooberry, you might just find yourself roo-ting for more!
And if you’re feeling a wee bit smaller after a sip, that’s okay! You’re not gonna be a joey forever, it’s just for today~ But if you like being big, don’t worry. We don’t use FoY water, so you can drink as much as you like and not shrink a thing!
Joey Junction is a subsidiary of the RAD (Roodical Arcade Den) mall outlet & is not responsible for the permanent 90s-ification of any and all personal belongings. To visit Joey Junction, don’t find us- we’ll find you. To learn more, please see below.
That's all to say: Joey Junction is a 90s kidcore mall area featuring food, diapers, and maybe some light toony shenanigans. It can be best thought of as a pocket dimension, which is usually (but not always) attached to a greater 90s-themed mall called the Roodical Arcade Den, or RAD. The place operates for free, and has light magic in place to keep everyone safe and supplies stocked. If you wish to visit, you will find yourself there sooner than later!
The RAD overarching has a special ICEE knockoff drink, called RRCI. RRCI stands for Radical Roo's Chilly Ice, and it's most popular flavor- Rooberry, a blue raspberry kick- can transform people into kangaroos (link)! Joey Junction's RRCI can also regress you. However, neither will do so if you don't want it. It can just be a delicious drink for you if you like~ If you want to pick some up, you can find it at the Drink & Snack Bar (1).
You may have noticed the restrooms. Although Joey Junction is a place for open wear of diapers, it's not required. Joey Junction is a nexus for littlefurs and diaperfurs alike, after all, and sometimes parents will visit with their kids. Diapers can be found at either restroom in various sizes, thicknesses, and sick designs if you wish to pad up. Furs who wind up leaking will find themselves in a diaper before a mess can be made. Additionally, all diapers here are enchanted; they won't leak no matter how hard you try.
Joey's Playscape is THE main attraction of Joey Junction. Three stories tall, covered in colors and pipes, featuring slides taking you down to other levels and into ball pits, and possessing a jungle gym build in the space underneath and between the explorer's space on the ground floor, it's the place to be for active furs of almost all ages (the extra smalls have the Tot Town).
Starlight Stop is a naptime zone for kiddos, themed after space. It's a dark area that has glow in the dark stars, sectioned off with an "airlock" using soundproof doors to help keep the bustle of the mall away. If you need a nap, this is the place. Starlight Stop also holds nighttime diapers for those prone to accidents in sleep.
The Skate Park is where buckaroos go to have fun doing cool tricks and trying out new boards in an indoor space. The layout changes every so often, and can sometimes draw quite a crowd! Although the materials are rock-solid, you'll find crashes to be surprisingly soft (if still painful). The shopkeeper of Crazy Sk8's runs the Skate Park.
Tot Town is where the extra-littles go to have fun. It's a smaller, safer experience featuring an easy to navigate playscape, safe parkour, simple toy puzzles, and other 4 and under play features. Don't worry, this one still has a ball pit too!
RAD already features a lot of 90s shops and a full massive arcade, so Joey Junction caters more to the diaperfur and especially littlefur experience. As a result, we have our own food court and arcade! Although not so grand and broad in scope as RAD's namesake arcade, the Buckaroo Arcade features far more kid-friendly games and even has a laser tag arena that's changed periodically! Don't worry though, the adults still have plenty to do and play with.
Joey Junction is strictly SFW, though will often feature what you might know as "the writer's barely disguised fetish" moments. Joey Junction, being a wee bit toony, is featured like a cartoon. This can mean it's got a full toony style, or it's just a real place with some wacky antics from time to time. That's the fun thing- being a unique magical space, it can be whatever the visitors want that day! This also means antics are impermanent, as you'll definitely need to be your default self for the next "episode" later! As a big plus, Joey Junction is completely safe and sanitary by magical enforcement. To worry about such things detracts from the experience!
When you visit, if you wish it, you can be the "guest star of the episode!" This means you're the big star, the big important protagonist for the day! It'll be all about you, and your shenanigans in Joey Junction. Jor(oo)dan will be your costar, and everyone will focus on hanging out with you! Hijink prevention not guaranteed. But remember... you're always the star of the show at Joey Junction~
Joey Junction's mascot/owner is Joroo, my 90s-themed toony kangaroo form. He could be a proud young adult, or a joey with some serious poof, so keep an eye out! He loves to show new visitors around, and is very prone to shenanigans. You could think of him as the head caretaker, in another sense. Or, he could be your playmate for the day! Oh, you wanna know what he looks like? Sure thing buckaroo, click here!
This setting has been a lot of work, love and effort. I couldn't have done it without Ghost, Hourglass, MereTosh, Moonlight, Nova, Podoboo, UsernamePending, Wallduck, and the entire Crinkle Castle server pitching in to help make this map something special and unique. Let's get back to the 90s~
If you're interested in having art about Joey Junction, please let me know! I'd love to help, give tips, and be involved. I want this to be something the entire community can partake in. <3 A nexus of diaperfurs just hanging out, having a casual time in a cool 90s space!
