Jim- Character Influence Chart
Similar to my old character influence charts, I did back in 2017 for the other main characters of Qurie, Jim always needed his.
It's easy to say that Jim's MAIN influence was a Joker like character. Any version of Joker applies to Jim, but I feel like there's something wonderfully stupid about Leto's Joker because it's trying WAY too hard to look threatening. Team Skull Guzma, has a wonderful style that's silly in it's own right. He's a thug like character, with street fashion, and because I didn't have enough space, it's also fair to say Jim is inspired by Russian Gopnik style as well. Also not featured is Dio from Jojo, but I don't know Dio well enough to put him in this.
He tends to be someone in the background to the main characters, a constant threat that could appear at any time to make things worse, which is similar to Beetlejuices existence. If you push him to get involved, he's only going to do things for his own interests, and he's a gross and foul person to have around. But if there's ONE main point about Jim, is that it's all a front. He's an old rocker that lived his best life early on and when Max runs into him, he's burnt out (no offense to Johnny Rotten). In the present timeline, he's resorted to being an online pest and troll, (Logan Paul is a stand in for most annoying disingenuous youtubers) and being a reactionary video maker.
Not that I liked putting a picture of Manson in this list, but he has a cult, and his mind control powers allows him to make others do his dirty work for him. He is able to see through his victims eyes, and he has the vivid memories of murder and rape committed by them in his brain forever. His personal crimes are killing three of the Knights of Qurie, and he strives to take out any more after that.
However, if he was given any real power and sense of control, he's a bumbling idiot like Wheatley. When he's in performance mode, he throws on a different accent, but otherwise his normal voice comes out when he's alone, which I would like to sound like Stephen Merchant. His real passions, if he wasn't supposed to fill the role of big bad guy, he'd love to rebuild cars and play with old mechanical devices. He has an old car, that he uncovered during his reign and treats it like a precious baby. Just to be a douchebag, he'll rev it up and drive around making loud noises (at the cost of limited gas resources.)
King Bumi might be the only character on this list who is truly too good to be mixed with the others, but I know Bumi well enough to know he's not all right in the head. Jim's powers are a mix of Magneto and Earth Bending powers. So long as he's looking at something he can lift it with his mind and he can hurl dirt, sand, glass, stone, and metals around, either as a barrier or a projectile. He's VERY jealous that both Madame and Ray can fly and the best he can do is create a layer of dirt stairs to stand on. He can pick up any object, so long as it's not made of organic material, but it does require more work for him to move larger objects... he threatens to bring the moon crashing down on the earth but it's too far away for him to actually do that. If he had the FULL power of the CORE inside his brain, maybe he could do that. Lord knows what he can do if he ever took his life seriously.
